This is primarily directed at Postmac as I am confident that he will know the answer but there may some good tips from others too. Can you recommend a good beach to go to with a tiny? Ours is too small for slides and swings really but a stabilmento with good facilities and parking nearby that will allow us to pay for half a day perhaps. Not too far from Pescara in either direction as we will be hitting the coast along the A25 from Sulmona. Also, what's the best time of day to go? We were thinking 4.00pm to 7.00pm. Any advice appreciated.

We're off back to the UK for a visit by car and we'd like to stay in an apartment or a B&B in or near the city. Although I'm happy to do the usual searches on-line it would be helpful to have any ideas from Forum members. Especially for a British owned business as we are still doing our own research and this might be an opportunity to pick a brain or two.

The museo diocesano di Lanciano is one of the most important museums of scared art in Abruzzo. The museum is located inside the palace of the seminary building. It is divided into six rooms according to a specific thematic order and collects a number of heterogeneous objects, a result of painstaking restoration work, related to Christian worship dating from the thirteenth century to the nineteenth century.

Even if you’re not particularly religious it’s a nice place to visit, they have one of Nicholas Guidiagrele’s processional crosses, however beautiful it’s not as magnificent as the one at the chiesa san maria maggiore in Lanciano.

They have a very impressive tapestry 10m x 4m approx of the goddesses from the masque in William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, it took 15 years to paint and sew and was made for the royal family in Napoli.

Here’s the link to their website:

http://h1.ath.cx/muvi/sistema/museodiocesanolanciano/
