We went for a practice with friends in Passo on Wednesday.
The upper part is closed,we are told due to the drag lifts not being repaired due to lack of funds which is sad.
The chair lift on the lower part is operating, but unless it snows again,a guide told us the skiing will probably finish this week.
You can already see mud coming through in places.

so dont be fooled into thinking that because there is snow at the top its open.

sandwich

Hi,

This is the best kept secret cross country trail in the Pescara province (well, perhaps the only one..).
If you're just into half a day of exercise, you only need to go up to Voltigno (1400 m).

Take the road from Passo Cordone (Loreto Aprutino) to Villa Celiera and proceed towards the natural park where the road ends.
About 20 km of trails. Nice and quiet, and free...
Afterwards you may have lunch at the Fungarolo in the village below.

Season will last another couple of weeks.

Hi,
anyone skiied at Ovindoli?
From the piste map on their web site it looks like there is only one red down and the better runs are all shown as blacks? How tough are these runs? If they're really just Alpine reds I'm fine but if we're talking about very steep and icy I'll drive on up to Campo Felice!
Marc

We arrive at our place for Christmas and New Year and hope to get a bit of skiing in.
We haven't been to any of the resorts and wondered if any one has any favourites or tips on travel to them. We will probably go to Decathlon and buy the clothing, but hire the skis and snow boards from the resorts, as a snow boarder I am not partial to the drag lifts which will be a deciding factor.
Hoping the snow gods are on our side
Mirabello
