We came to Italy to sign the Compromesso we thought, attended the splendid Abruzzolutely day out, then went to see our solictors only to be told the Rogito has been done. As of 01.09.10 we officially became owners of a plot of land and a property in Abruzzo. OMG so quick, all it took was around 13 e mails and a lot of trust from our lawyers that we were serious. We got the keys at 5pm and now are jumping up and down as we can't believe our dream has happened.

HUGE, HUGE thanks to all our Abruzzolutely chums for their help, advice and support..... I can see a house warming near Casoli soon.

Back in the UK, (Notice I don't say home) the prosecco is open, streamers stream, confetti confets and poppers pop and Baz can't stop saying... mia casa

My blog will be updated with our Abruzzo visit sometime tomorrow, for those who read it.

I am planning to buy a pellet stove, but I need one that is capable of heating 7 radiators. Does anyone have recommendations on (1) makes to look out for (2) an idea on what I should expect to pay, and (3) where I can get a good one from)? Obviously I want the cheapest possible but at the same time I need it to be totally reliable.

Thanks

Was having lunch with a friend and we werte chatting about my place near Casoli, she asked me if I'd be having central heating installed. I explained that the house would not be able to have a gas feed so heating would have to be electric. I then thought about it and realised I've seen very few properties in Italy with central heating. What have you guys got in place for the winter in Abruzzo?
